Edward F. Twomey is a Partner at The Lynch Law Group where he is the Chair of Elder Law Practice Group and a member of the Business Succession Planning and the Estates & Trusts Practice Groups. With more than 14 years of experience, Ed has built a strong reputation as a trusted advisor in estate and tax planning. He is known for his ability to understand each client’s unique needs and develop customized solutions that preserve legacies and provide peace of mind.
Ed is dedicated to helping individuals, families, and business owners achieve their goals through thoughtful, strategic estate and business planning. His clients benefit from his deep legal knowledge, commitment to exceptional service, and talent for explaining complex concepts in clear, relatable terms.
Ed advises clients on all aspects of estate planning, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Advanced Healthcare Directives, as well as Asset Protection and Wealth Preservation strategies, Charitable Giving, Special Needs Planning, and Trust and Estate Administration. He works with clients to create custom tailored estate plans that are suited to each client’s personal and financial circumstances, while minimizing tax burdens and unnecessary risks.
In addition to his work with individuals and families, Ed brings extensive experience in business succession planning. He guides business owners through the development of future-focused strategies, managing tax considerations, leadership transitions, and the continuity of operations.
Ed speaks frequently about estate planning and estate and trust administration to various organizations and presents continuing legal education seminars each year. He is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association and serves on the council of the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Probate & Trust Section.
Outside the office, Ed leads an active lifestyle and is a passionate Muay Thai practitioner. Whether in the ring or in the office, Ed thrives on the challenge of problem-solving and achieving optimal outcomes. He also enjoys golf, spending time with family, and staying involved in the Pittsburgh community.
